I'm so excited to announce that the IxDA Speaker Network is now live and those with interest in speaking at local events are able to submit their interest.

The goal of the speaker network is to not only allow groups with more access to speakers to share opportunities with other groups, but to give everyone a chance to speak on what is passionate to them. Many may not consider themselves speakers, but have great stories to tell, and we want to hear them.

A link to the speaker network is accessible via IxDA.org within both the local and about areas. The direct link to the form is http://tiny.cc/IxDASpeakers.

I'd like to encourage everyone to add themselves to the database as well as spreading the word to those you know that have stories to share.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me directly.

Thanks,
Tonia M. Bartz

Dear Tina,

This sounds right up my alley, I'm currently working on the intersection between speaking and interface design, reshaping the communication architecture of "presentations." Alas, I cannot find if the speaker network pertains to North America only or if it is for the global community. I'm German based, yet willing to travel. If you could provide a bit more information about the motivation, purpose and logistics of the network, I'd be very grateful.

Posted this publicly, in case others may look for the same information. Thanks,

Jakob
