Give a warm welcome to the newest local leader of IxDA Dublin, Irene Gonzalez. Irene has played an important role in organising Defuse 4 as well as being a keen supporter of our regular meetups.

Best of luck Irene!

A bit of background:

Irene is a User Experience designer from Spain, currently based in Dublin. She has a BA in Computer Science from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, Spain. Along with a MSc in IT Product Design from University of Southern Denmark.
During her masters studies she expended her learning by taking a semester abroad at Uppsala University, Sweden. Then she had the chance to work closely with students and teachers of the HCI Masters.

For her master thesis she worked with Museo Safardi, Toledo, Spain, to explore how interactive screens can be used to improve the user experience of museum visits.

She then joined Paddy Power, where she works as UX Architect since last June.

Her interests include cognitive psychology, ethnographic research and participatory innovation, among others.

Thank you for the announcement and introduction Filip.

I am really excited about joining IXDA as a local leader and meet the Interaction Design and UX community in Dublin.
