I'm looking for some opinions on a design-thinking tool that I'm designing as part of a university project.
I'm going to give a bit of background information before describing the tool: I've been researching different prototyping and envisionment techniques used when designing and developing Augmented Reality apps. A key finding of my research was that, whilst interfaces are visualised in scenarios, gestural and touch-screen interactions quyite often are not - and they are becoming more prominent within interfaces. So the interface is being visualised in the nvisionment process, but the interactions often aren't. This can be a problem when trying to explain an application to a client or a member of your design and development team.
What I'm designing is a gesture library specifically for Augmented Reality apps, in order to aid in the envisionment and prototyping process. I'm planning for the gesture library to be animated in order to fully clarify gestures and interactions.
I need some opinions on this, however; I'd really like to know a couple of things:
-What methods of envisionment and prototyping do you use? -How do you display interactions in your envisionment process? -Do you feel being able to show gestures and touch interactions would aid in the envisionment process?
I'd really appreciate any answers or thoughts you may have on this project. If you have and comments or questions, please feel free to ask.
