At our Interaction 13 Redux last night I regretfully forgot to announce the following on behalf of Service Design Drinks Toronto:

Hello,

We’re delighted to be announcing our second Service Design Drinks (and Thinks) event on Tuesday March 12th, 6:30-9:30 the Bedford Academy. Come drop by to meet other people who are interested in service design topics, share ideas, and maybe get some inspiration for your next project!

We hope you can come — please sign up on our Eventbrite page if you are planning on attending, so we can make sure to adjust our reservation accordingly.

This is the “Drinks” (casual meetup) part of the group — We’re working on a great “Thinks” event with a presentation and some case studies for April. We intend to put these on monthly, alternating the Drinks and Thinks, to ensure a balanced diet.

Want to share and receive service design resources, and find out about other upcoming events? You should sign up for the SDDT Google Group here.

Hope to see you there on Tuesday March 12th!

What’s Service Design Drinks all about?

You should come if…

  • You believe that better services can and should be designed
  • You are curious about service design practices and how they could become a part of your work
  • You want to share and discuss examples of service design-related work, to better understand what is happening in the space.

You should really come if…

  • You have a particular interest in design with the public sector
  • You’re not a designer! This work absolutely demands dialogue across disciplinary lines. We need to include diverse voices in our conversations if they are to be relevant.
