How did you convince people to use Notable?

If you're using Notable (or other comparable services) in your day to day work, what are the obstacles you encountered during the implementation of it and how did you manage to overcome them?

As a UX consultant, I've used Notable since 2010 but I found it difficult to persuade stakeholders to trade emails for Notable. Notable ( lets you take any interface screenshot, sketch or wireframe and exchange notes on specific details with your team.

You have to ask yourself, "How does Notable fit into their daily job?" We had a similar problem with Envision, which is great for collecting feedback on screenshots, interactions and allows you to make an action list from the comments (even creating their profiles for them didn't help to encourage them to use it more frequently).

In future, I will try the following:

  1. Schedule a training session, even though you might think it is easy to use; to encourage familiarity with the program and flatten the mental mountain they might have for using the program.
  2. Make it part of their tasks by schedule a meeting by which feedback, done through the app, will be discussed specifically.
  3. See how "printouts" from the "application I use" can fit into their reports, presentations, specifications, etc.

I love the idea of making it a part of our tasks by scheduling a meeting by wich feedback is done throught the app. Great idea, thank you!
