IA terminology

I am wondering what people use for terminology regarding sitemaps/interaction flows in regards to communicating deliverables to people who don't have an interaction design/information architecture background. I am using sitemaps/interaction flows both and I find that the PM's are getting confused on what the terminology is, so I just want to settle on one term to simplify things for them.

I always associate site maps with "content" and associate interaction flows with "application design" or "transactions".

IA Article: Rose by any other name...

The Boxes and Arrow archives seemed to be screwed up, so I'm posting a
response to this article here in the hopes it might in a round about
way get back to B&A.

The article can be found here:

information_architecture_a_rose_by_any_other_name.php

I guess I'm left with two questions after reading this article:

1) If you replaced the word "information architect" and "IA" with
"interface designer" and "UI" would you have the same article?

Who's going to IA Summit?

[cross-posted]

Who's going to the IA Summit? I'm thinking of planning a get together
over breakfast or dinner. Let me know if you're going and interested.

Feel free to reply off-list.

Cheers!
