Creating Your Own Design Patterns

Hi all - I am a UX designer whose recently been given responsibility for getting our design pattern library up to speed. Can anyone recommend a researched based design patter library - similar to the usability.gov publication - but newer and more comprehensive. Looking to spend some money, or get what I can for free. Any leads would be much appreciated!!

Tools for building a pattern library

What tool(s) did you use to set up your UI pattern library?

I know this question has been asked before*, but after repeated searches I'm not finding much of an answer. Seems there aren't any simple ways of doing this.

I'm currently using a mix of documents in collaboration with custom built (aka one-off) web-based solutions, but these aren't optimal for several reasons:
