Members of Pittsburgh IxDA, AIGA, IDSA and CMU's HCII program met Wednesday after work to socialize and enjoy specialty cocktails at Embury at the Strip District. The group sampled Martinis, Manhattans, Gimlets, smoky tasting cocktails and ones made with ginger and jalapeño. As we got to know one another, we chatted about our
companies, design in Pittsburgh, and what kind of events we can co-host in the future. Thanks to the folks at Embury for hosting - we appreciate the experience they've designed for their customers.
Please join IxDA Pittsburgh for a happy hour in honor of our fearless
leader, Michele Marut.
It was Michele who made the initial post on the IxDA list, asking if
anybody in Pittsburgh would like to have a "face-to-face". On December
20th, 2005, we did just that. Michele and I sat at a table in Caribou
Coffee at the Southside Works and talked about how to get a local
group started. Since that time, Michele has organized many events,
each of which has seen increased attendance over the last.
