a few problems, but overall the transition of over 17,000 member

When the new ixda.org launches Sometime Sunday, a body of the
Interaction '10 videos will be present in the Resources section.
Needless to say, the complexity of getting all 60 or so videos
titled, tagged, compressed, and uploaded takes time & bandwidth.
So it is likely that the IxDA '10 videos will be in the process of
being uploaded early next week, rather than at launch time.

To make the change, we have to let ixda.org go dark for a bit.
Starting at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (GMT 5 hours),
ixda.org will not be available. In addition, you will not be able to
post to the list through email, either.
Local groups are great. There are a lot of people who are working hard
to bring interaction designers and other interested folks together
locally on a regular basis.
Wouldn't it be great if local groups had a dedicated space that
brought events, discussions, and jobs into a local-centric space?
Wouldn't it be great if ixda.org could expand the ability of local
groups to communicate & collaborate?

We're looking for hosting service & Drupal support suggestions as
options to consider for the upcoming new IxDA.org website. Presently
we're hosted by Dreamhost and that may be the right option going
forward but we'd love to get some additional ideas from the
