Font Choice (was Google Talk, continued)

This isn't necessarily true. Even though I think it's an ugly, flawed
font, I've had to use Arial on occasion because the letters widths
are tighter than Verdana (a much much better font, esp. for screen
resolution), which makes it easier to fit words into dense tables
when presenting a lot of information.

With the same disclaimer in mind, I'll pitch in. I'm the designer for
Google Talk. I always like it when you can actually pester the designer
about some of the decisions they made, so if anyone has any comments,
questions, or suggestions, fire away. Can't promise I'll answer
everything -- tons and tons to do on Talk -- but I'll do what I can.

People, I invite you to make up your own minds about the products you use

Hmm, Ok... I admit I should have added some thought on GTalk on it,
we're behind an Institute firewall and it wasnt connecting at times
so couldnt form an informed opinion on it . yet the mail was to
initiate a download of an alternate way of doing something which most
of us do daily, so all the people are on the same plan and can
Discuss. I am a silent reader of the list most of the time and "feed"
on what people have to say.

IxDG @ IDSA in DC this Friday evening at 7p (please RSVP)

Hello everyone,

If you are the IDSA conference OR just happen to live in the greater DC area
and are interested in meeting together for dinner on Friday the 26th (this
Friday) @ 7P. Please let me know. (please RSVP again if you already let me
know once, so I can tell the restaurant an accurate tally.

Myself and Robert Reimann (both current steering committee members of IxDG)
are speaking at IDSA on Saturday and thought that it would be fun to use our
travel opportunity to meet fellow IxDGers.

I look forward to getting people's RSVPs.

Just so people know we will be going to Mama Ayesha's.

Although the conference time is listed in this email, does anyone else
find it amusing that the actual dates do not appear anywhere on
http://www.aboutwithandfor.com ??

FW: CALL FOR ABSTRACTS: Presenters wanted for the 2005 AWF conference

I'm forwarding this along ... I think that there are a few people from this
list who went last year and can speak to the conference if they so wish.
I've heard wonderful things about it in the past.

WORK | PLAY

Does work have to be work? People work. People play. Are they independent
aspects of life or can play facilitate work? The 2005 AWF conference is
looking for people who would like to give a presentation or lead a workshop
centered on this year's theme: work & play.
