More and more details about the program for the second Designing for
User eXperience conference (DUX 2005) have been appearing recently on

I also work at Laszlo, which coined the term "Cinematic User
Experience." The metaphor works for me.

Using Flash for UI prototyping

Hi all, I am relatively new to Flash, but I am very interested in using it
as a tool for creating interactive prototypes for desktop apps. What are
some of your experiences using Flash for prototyping? I have a grasp of the
Flash fundamentals, but are there any sites that provide good tutorials on
UI prototyping in particular? TIA.

Education opportunities

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this list. I'm currently employed as a Requirements Analyst at
Welch Allyn and am interested in educating myself on interactive design /
HCI / etc. Does anyone have suggestions for academic programs either
online or in the central New York area?

Conferences and workshops would also be of interest.

Advanced Flash?

Hi Flashers,

Considering the exciting stuff done on flash here's another one...needed to know 2 things and if it's possible how & relevant examples if available.
1. Saving a video feed to a swf file from a web cam as a another swf file or saving the whole swf file with the video itself
2. Not sure if this is weird/possible but can we load another application inside flash eg. load a PowerPoint presentation or Ms Word file inside an swf?

If you could also point me to some sites with some exciting examples such as the above it would be very helpful.

Browser usage

Hi!

Was searching for statistics of browser usage at enterprise level for some
business analysis.

Wanted to know
- What is the percent share of various browsers like IE, Netscape, firefox,
etc.?
- Are there any non-standard browser being used by companies for some
specific usage?

Looking forward to feedbacks, references, data...
