IA Summit Registration is Open - IxDA sponsoring pre-conference IxD Symposium

IxDA is very excited to announce that registration is open for the IA Summit
this year, see information below.

We are excited because IxDA has put together a Pre-conference event called
the Interaction Design Symposium (see below). We are very excited that in
particular Kim Goodwin (Cooper) and Luke Wroblewski (FunctioningForm.com &
Yahoo) will be doing seminars along with David Heller, Lisa deBettencourt,
and Frank Ramirez.

BTW, MDes is not a 'terminal degree' everywhere. In the Industrial
Design Centre, IIT Bombay you can do a PhD after your MDes.

Sure enough, most people who do an MDes are really roaring to go into
the practice. Some of them have second thoughts 5-10 years into the
practice.

In Amsterdam, The Netherlands, there's Mediamatic:

They've organized workshops on RFID and Mobtagging, and designed an online
monument for the Dutch Jewish community. I believe they also hosted an

FW: Registration UI

Dear All,

I had asked the question about Registration UI:

Is it better to have a single long registration page instead of split pages?
The single page, although scrollable, can give all the information required
at once and users will not have to wait for each page download.

Thanks a lot for your responses.

Let me share with you what we did meanwhile. We conducted a quick and dirty
usability test on the existing 4 step interface and proposed single page
registration.
