Human Factors Credentials

Hello all,

Sorry to bother you all with another credentials question. I have already
read the messages from both this list and the one from the ACM on getting
masters or the HFI Certificate.

My situation is a little different. I recently graduated from an IA Program
and has been searching for related jobs for almost a year now. There are
little opportunities here in Vancouver(Canada), which means whenever
something opens up, I will be up against people with many years of
experience or advanced education.

Sketching with PowerPoint? Was: How is MS

I don't know if this is a good solution or not, but I was recently
given a Bluetooth 'i-pen' that can add handwriting/sketching to any
PC. I haven't tried it yet, but it might be more cost-effective than
buying a tablet PC.

Whiteboards are excellent (+) for collaborative dynamic design sessions &
presentational environment, but awkward (-) when trying to capture the
content or transfer it to another platform. Smartboard does both transfer
and communicate (+) --- but at a price (-). Neither whiteboard nor
SmartBoard are particularly mobile (-).

Double entry field for Email

I saw that some have said that the double email entry process (to minimize
email errors) is stupid and should stop since copying and pasting between
fields can pass the error to the second field.

Summary: Anyone Use A Blog To Capture Design Ideas?

Hello IxDAers,

Thanks so much for the great responses! After I sent out my question I found out that my IT group was actually getting ready to deploy the Jotspot Wiki (http://www.jot.com/) with the Blogapp. So I'm going to use this for now and see how things go. So far it seem pretty good, I've used it to record some meeting notes and whiteboard captures that my remote teammates have found useful. Since the rest of my company is using this as well linking to other docs using Wiki words has also been fairly easy.
