Contractors needed

Ths is not an immediate need, but I have some projects coming up for
which I may need some contractors. I'll need people to do interaction
design, visual design, and prototyping (Flash, Ajax/DHTML, etc).

Please send:

- Your current resume
- Your portfolio (in any medium)
- Hours per week you can potentially contribute to contract work
- List of specialties (if not included in your resume)
- Your typical billable rate. If you like, you can specify different
rates for different types of work. And yes, I realize these numbers
can change depending on the project.

Lynda's a great resource but a little light on the IA/JS side.
Depending you personal learning style, their step-by-step, project oriented,
tutorials are repeatable and chunked in small enough segments to stick in
your head. If you get the premium membership, ($325 a year) you can download
exercise files that let you work actual projects.

You learn by doing, hearing and seeing at your own pace. If something' not
clear you can go back to the segment and watch it again or work the
exercise.

NYC-UPA: More room very likely in Card Sort workshop on May 31

Greetings,

Here's an update on the Card Sort workshop for May 31st.

* We are 90% sure that we will have a site available that will seat 45
attendees. That's an additional 20 seats.

* It's on West 44th between 5th and 6th. The exact location will be
announced when it's finalized.

* The announcement will be made by the end of the day Friday May 25th. We
have the room but would like to visit it first to confirm it is the right
for this event.

* There are now also additional spots on the waiting list. If you are
interested, please sign up because you are likely to get in.
