Use Case v/s IA Document

Hi All,

I work as an information architect for a company that provides software
services, one of our key areas being our user experience practice.
Typically, a business anaylst and an information architect are allocated in
the requirements phase. Both attend the same business meetings, talk to the
same people, including both, clients and end users.
At the end of the requirements phase, the BA has to come up with the usecase
document and the IA with the IA document.

Mobile fonts question

I'd like to donate fonts to anyone who are working on mobile phone UI's, but
I don't know if it is legal.

A while ago I made a two font sets, the Nokia Series 40 and the Nokia Series
60. These are the non-anti aliased fonts used in J2ME applications.
The font sets were recreated by me (using FontLab) and I have been using
them to create pixel-correct user interfaces for for the small and medium
size screens. (The new anti aliased fonts for large screens are available
from Nokia)

Does anyone know if it is legal to distribute these?

Examples of Mathematical/Logical conditions represented visually

Hi All,

I am looking for ways of representing following ind of expression, in
a way that it looks less technical:

(Object A or B) and (25% of Object C + 65% of Object D)

This is a simpler example, it could get much more complex. I am
exploring creating a visual language for this expression to make it
easier to understand and even define. For e.g. have Object A and
Object B be represented as boxes (labeled ofcourse) and if they are
snapped together an "And" operator is applied and if they are moved
apart an "or" operator is applied.

Usable Query filtering examples?

Hi all,

Can anyone point me to usable examples of filtering information? We are building a site that affords users the ability to sort through a dataset of @ 1000 items, which are grouped into one of 3 types. The types are not mutually exclusive, so users may search for one type of item, and then query for a specific subgroup.
