Question on modeling tasks

Hi everyone,

Still working on my design process. I've seen some processes that model
tasks and create sequence or task flow diagrams, and some exclude it
altogether. I think this partly depends on the type of work you are doing -
an application would be more task oriented than a marketing website. I'm
planning on using personas as part of our process, and I wonder if that is
enough (especially for marketing sites) to have scenarios for the personas
describing how they interact with the system/site. So maybe the question is
when to you do task flows or diagrams and when don't you?

Thanks

Tom

I pledged

I pledged to IxDA because I believe in almost all the words from our
initiator Bruce Tognazzini in his article back in October 2003: -"I'ts
time we got respect"

Help continue this call by pledging you to!

Corrected post: Wizard Navigation to manage a long process -

I am building an application that requires the user to go through at least
one very time-consuming step. This step is somewhat akin to building a
complex org chart, and such, the user might want to perform intermediate
saves during it.

wireframe plugin for Adobe Illustrator?

I'm wondering if there is a flowcharting/wireframing plugin for
Illustrator? Something that makes the arrows and shapes connect more
dynamic (features like snap, grid) like Visio or Omnigraffle?

thanks,

Wendy
