Ethical Issues for Interaction Designers

I am working on a paper on ethical issues for interaction designers
and information architects. What kinds of ethical issues arise in
IxD or IA practice, ethical issues that are more or less distinctive
for IxDs or IAs? There is a lot of HCI literature on the proper use
of human subjects, but are there distinctive problems for IxDs or
IAs? What would they be? Can you provide any specific examples? I
suspect that ethical problems would occur between the architects or
designers and the clients or the architects or designers and upper
management.

How complete should wireframes and site maps be?

What do you do when-

You don't have time or budget to do a wireframe for every page listed
on the site map?

You're handed someone else's sitemap and wireframes only to find
there are things on the existing site that aren't accounted for in
the new layout?

Design institutes

I am trying to create an overview of institutes that have been
established to research the fields of interaction design/experience
design/service design. I am particularly interested in institutes
that have close links to industry or strong innovation agendas. I am
trying to develop a funding application to establish a centre in
Norway and need strong examples from abroad as a persuasive argument.

I have read that there is considerable development in Asian
countries, but cant put my fingers on details.

a split feature usable ?

Hello,

We are developping an application which can display on the same screen
several views of the same data. For this, we use a split feature.

Does anyone have good examples of applications where the split feature looks
"usable" ? I have already tried the Firefox "Split Browser" add-on but I
would like to see how it behaves in other applications.

intranet/software style guides needed

hi everyone,

I am currently working on a new concept for corporate style guides for
digital assets in enterprise environments.

If you know good style guide (sites) available on the web or if you want
to share a good example, please send me a mail. I would like to get an
impression of the contents, the structure and the presentation.

I am particularily interested in fast-forward examples, like guides for
saas products, enterprise portals, or those solutions that could be
classified as stage 4/5/6 intranets when applying Avenue A's Intranet
Maturity Framework.
