Prototyping Touch Screens

I'm working on a tiny touch screen device right now. Anyone
experimented with using the iPhone for prototyping touch interaction?

On a similar note, what have people been using to prototype large
(kiosk-screen sized) touch interactions? I've used Acer tablets in
the past, but are there any other options?

Touchscreen *and* desktop interface

Hi All,
This is my first post to the list...and I'm happy to be here! I've come
to software interface design from a graphics and web design background,
and I'm rather isolated at the small office here in Iceland which has
been merged twice now into larger corporations.

Now for my question...I've been asked to design an interface
(translation: come up with a look and feel) for a medical database
program which "may also be used on a touchscreen". They seem to have in
mind that one interface can be used for both touchscreen and
non-touchscreen devices.

What classes would you like to take?

Smart Experience is planning new Internet, mobile, and software
classes for this Fall and Winter and we'd love to know what
classes you want, so we created a short survey. It's most relevant
if you live in the New York area, but we'll be creating online classes
in the not too distant future.

User Experience Strategy

I've written an article about user experience strategy...

...and would love feedback. I'm especially interested in learning about
articles, presentations, or anything else I missed that deals specifically
with user experience strategy. I'd also be interested to hear reactions to
the strange connections I'm making between UX strategy and futurity.
