JOB: Interaction Designer. Philadelphia, PA. MissionStaff. Recruiter. Contract.

We have two excellent opportunities open with our client in Center City
Philadelphia:

IA/UX Architect MissionStaff is looking for a business savvy
Information Architect. We're interested in someone with excellent
problem-solving and communication skills (ability to easily go from
high-level to detail and back in terms of verbal communication as well
as in the quality of deliverables). The right fit could be a variation
of Project Manager, BA or UX architects.

San Diego IXDN?

Hi All,

Is there a San Diego Interaction Design group, or perhaps someone in
the area who could counsel me on the current state of the field in
the greater San Diego Area? Feel free to respond via email and thanks
any information. I might be relocating and need to know what the
landscape looks like out there.

All the best,
-Dan

[EVENT] The Problem-Solving Power of Stickies, Thursday Sept 20

IxDA San Francisco is back with the second event in our Design Tools
series. This month we present Kate Rutter, Senior Practitioner for
Adaptive Path, as she discusses the problem solving power of stickies.

Learn the true power of the sticky note — yes, stickies! — to quickly
and effectively organize data, visualize themes, and identify
patterns.. We’ll start with an overview of how Adaptive Path uses
sticky notes (aka: Post-Its) in user experience projects.

Examples of fun digital tools wanted

I'm working on an article about produtainment in interactive design,
that is, products that are designed to be useful and playful at the
same time.

Do you know any digital products that combine tool and toy in the very
same product? Please let me know.

I've managed to find these two examples:

- Dabbler (a discontinued drawing application).
