looking for: innovative gym/trainer sites

I'm looking for innovative uses of web2.0/IxD functionality on websites of
fitness gyms and personal trainers .. a scan through most of the local gyms
turned up bupkis, a truly sad collection of brochureware.

So, I'm casting my net wider - have you seen or used a website for a fitness
gym or personal trainer that leverages the rich possibilities of modern IxD
functionality, and/or web2.0 community driven content?

Or am I hoping for too much from a bunch of jocks ;-)

Green Card process

An IA on my staff is in the process of applying for a Green Card. As her
manager I'm working with HR and outside counsel to shepherd this thing
through. One of the issues, of course, is that this role, or any other UX
role for that matter, does not fit neatly into any of the preexisting job
categories.

Trying to collect my thoughts but I think there are many interesting
and important concepts applied to the design.

- Ability to traverse through a huge and complex structure of
information and tasks with such ease is quite significant.
- I think the idea of the 'right thing just happens' which is true
with most apple software is important as it brings simplicity and
makes the experience more enjoyable

interesting read: Foundations of InteractionDesign

Jeff,

> it's absolutely crucial for any designer to know the basic components of
graphic design

Sorry to not be directly helpful, but not *any* designer.
