Too deep navigation on mobile phones

I find the developments in the whole mobile space quite exciting, but
I can't get past one issue and I was hoping that some of our mobile
experts and other usability experts could add some depth to one
particular issue.

I have noticed that mobile phones have always had a series of
applications that one uses regularly and as we become accustomed to
our phones we learn the paths to our favorite tools. The mobile phone
seems to becoming more and more multipurpose.

[PLUG] Involution Master Academy, Fall 2007

Hello all,

Just dropping a quick note to let the list know about a few classes
that are being offered at Involution Studios this fall in Sunnyvale.
These classes are part of the new Involution Master Academy, an
educational program for experienced professionals in design and
related fields.

The classes will be taught by Steve Portigal, Luke Wroblewski, Tom
Chi and myself on site at Involution Studios in Sunnyvale, CA, USA.

Your work environment: tell me how it's open, how it's closed.

I'm collecting some anecdotal data on the sorts of environments we work
in.

If you don't mind taking a moment, could you answer these questions?

PLEASE respond to me directly. I'll be happy to summarize and share with
the list.

1. Are you allowed to try out software (apps, platforms, tools) on your
company computer with minimal hassle?

2. Can you use social software tools? (Linked In, Facebook, Instant
Messenger, Wikis, Blogs, etc?) Only some of them?

3. Are you or your team allowed to change your physical work space?

I'm not too familiar with it, but my interaction with it has been
kind of hit and miss. It's a bit difficult to fully grok how it works
to start out. The whole process could be even more streamlined in my
opinion.

Behavior Design wins Graphic Design award

Its always great when one of our own does really well.
Chris Fahey (a contributor to this community) is one of the principals
at Behavior so I'd like to throw a little shout out and "Mazel Tov"
for earning a great award like this.

Of course, now I understand where you've been doing all that research
on fashion and style!
