There's still time to register for the PhizzPop Design Challenge and see your IxDA Peers.

Hey folks,

We've still got space at our design challenge events in NYC, Chicago, LA, Austin and Boston. NYC is filling up quickly and you'll be able to meet one of IxDA's very own founders David Malouf who will be judging! I weep for the contestants and wish them good luck! :)

Other events will have interesting judges as well, including Carlos Segura in Chicago, Luke W in Austin, and Lou Carbone in LA.

The events are free and the cocktails are on Microsoft.

Coroflot Salary survey

http://www.coroflot.com/community/salary_survey.asp

Fill it out and instantly see the results online.

Its a done pretty well for how quick it is to fill out. It isn't very
deep in details, but still a nice glossing over.
It is for multiple types of designers--not just IxD.

Should analytics be an IA/XP role?

Good question, Mike. At our consultancy, Web analytics falls under the
"online marketing" umbrella, which is separate from the user experience
umbrella.

[Event Update] Toronto November F2F

Last night, Usability Matters hosted Toronto's first IxD F2F. Huddled around
oranges, cookies and juice, the forum shared IxD perspectives under the UX
umbrella. We also discussed what an IxDA Local can do: show-and-tell,
knowledge-base/wiki, participatory workshops, expert-led sessions and
lectures, tips, among others. We also felt that different kinds of meetings
would require different kinds of venues - from boardrooms to cafes to
museums.

Share your ideas with Toronto's IxDA Local.
