Usability Reports

I'm curious to know what other usability specialists are including/excluding
in their usability reports. I'm finding that it largely depends on the
client, as well as budget of course. The more liberal the budget, the more
likely it is that we have time to go through and design suggested
alternatives to problematic flows, pages and/or overall site structure.

Knoxville, TN members? [WAS] Local page on the site?

Very cool. Good idea/job, Jeff.

Now now - I can't be the only person in Knoxville, TN?! Knoxville
IxDA-ers, speak up so we can have a local chapter and I'll have
another reason to meet people at Preservation Pub for a beer. I'm
probably reading the map wrong, but still, speak up.

Local page on the site?

Anyone take a look at what Jeff did on the new live site (FKA Gamma)?
We have this google mashup where anyone who registered their location
info gets mapped.
No names are there for privacy reasons, but it is a bit fun to see
where people are.

http://www.ixda.org/local.php

My favorites are the one-offs:
1 in Iceland
1 in Bermuda (Please invite me to come!)
1 in Iran

etc. etc.

It is also interesting to see where we so far are all bunched
together.

Experiences with social software platforms?

Hi all, does anyone have experience designing custom social experiences for
either Prospero's or Crowd Factory's APIs?

I'm looking at a few social platforms for a project I'm working on and would
like to know what practical experience people have when designing with
either of these vendors, or if you have any other vendors you've worked with
who are very savvy.

Thanks,
Daniel

AJAX and Accessibility Question

I have a question and would love to get everyone¹s take on it. Does the use
of AJAX make a site more or less accessible in terms of users with
disabilities?
