Ajax product configurator examples

I'm helping a friend who has a small business (total employees: 1, total
budget: $0 or maybe less) brainstorm ideas for a custom product configurator
for his website. Similar sites might allow you to see the clothes on a model
and change shirt colors, add various designs to a t-shirt, or customize your
new Mercedes colors, wheels, etc. He's curious to find out if this sort of
product configuration can be done well using Ajax/Web 2.0 technologies.

call them "T-shaped people"

Armano @ Logic+Emotion introduced this term to me. Today over lunch the
discussion turned to cross pollination, overlapping skillsets and new vs.
old job descriptions. I wondered, as a practioner what is your principal
skill or vertical leg of the T?

Folksonomy and last.fm

Hi everyone!

I recently stumbled across some papers about taxonomy/folksonomy (mind you,
I'm still a student).
I noticed the common oppinion about folksonomies is that they are not
reliable because of the
synonymy of the language.

)

So today I find this image on last.fm

37 signals outage

Anyone else amused by the increasingly abject apologies on the 37
signals site (www.37signals.com)?

I can't help being reminded of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?
