Background sound needed: Party, voices

Hi all,

I could use a (reasonably long) background sound of people talking - the
atmosphere of a social gathering or something like that.
Does anyone have good pointers as to where to search?

[EVENT] IxDA DC Social: Monday April 28

IxDA D.C. Face-2-Face Social: April 28, Cafe Citron, Dupont Circle

IxDA D.C. is throwing a Face-2-Face Social so we can meet in person for
drinks, socializing, and planning upcoming events based on user (you--the
community) research. As such, we will be gathering both qualitative and
quantitative data on the interests of the local IxDA & IA communities. We
might even craft some personas (using pictures from later in the evening) to
bring our archetypes to life.

So -- come one, come all to this April IxDA D.C. social event.

A little mentoring...

Hello everyone,

I'm a "newbie" in the Interaction Design field - stumbled upon it
after getting hired as a sound engineer at a start-up that's building
an interactive voice application for listening to audio programs.

Soon after joining the company I started prototyping different
versions of the Audio UI, then there came the flow-charts, web
integration, product specifications...

Online scheduling tool?

Does anyone happen to know of an online tool I can use to schedule
participants for a usability test? I've used individual emails in the
past, but the number of participants for the upcoming studies makes that
a challenge. I'd love to be able to set up a calendar and have folks
book a slot that is convenient for them, and have it be immediately
shown as busy for others. Is there anything like this out there?

Adapting Research Approaches for Agile Development

*Did anyone attend CHI in Florence this year?

I very interested in hearing what they had to say on the panel about Extreme
Usability: Adapting Research Approaches for Agile Development*

Also, I'd like to hear others methods for User Centered Research within the
agile process.

Facebook or quirky videos on YouTube, you're missing an opportunity to
change your company's entire culture. In fact, social media can affect how
companies innovate, test ideas, market, recruit talent, measure performance,
and interact with all their stakeholders.

Interaction Design in Europe

My name is Tiago Marques and I am a new comer to the IxDA mail list. I am currently researching for Interaction Design job opportunities in Europe, and can't help notice how Interaction Design and related job sites are so developed in the States, but how difficult it is proving to find professional opportunities in Europe. On what concerns the USA, that's not surprising - most of the big software, digital entertainment and telecommunication enterprises have arisen in North America, but still... the discrepancy of job posts and positions is impressive.

So, my question.

Wireframe vs. Prototype

A common point of confusion when I've partnered with other
IAs/Interaction Designers/UX Designers, yadda yadda yadda is what a
wireframe is vs. what a prototype is. Everyone seems to have a slightly
different take on them. Here's how I differentiate:

Wireframes - standalone "illustrations" of screens void of graphic
treatment, with indications of functionality and screen flow.
Prototypes - interactive versions of screens with varying levels of
graphic treatment/fidelity.
