ALA on Web-based Discussion

If you haven't already, check out A List Apart's article on web-based
community discussion. I think IXDA is a great example of forum-gone-right,
and the article's reminders toward the end are a refreshing look at how to
make sure we're contributing in the best way possible.

I just took the role of Director UX at a small interactive marketing agency,
and i need to show/tell/present to them what UX is and is not. It's a team

week.)

The need:
The whole company - from graphic designers who are moving from print to web
to account execs to project managers - need to learn a little and a lot
about what UX is and does.

web design specification examples

Hi guys

I'm a newbie on this mailing list.
Does anyone can pointing me some links with examples of web design
specification and web site information Architectures?

I already search over the mailing-list archive where I found this link:
» Functional Specification Documents [signed] (
http://www.ixda.org/discuss.php?post=9242&search=specification)

but I was looking for something more recent.
Anyone can help me?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers from Lisbon, Portugal.

help with categorization/client relation

Hi,

I'm working on a commercial real estate site, and I'm having a bit of
trouble coming to agreement with my client on categorization. He wants
a two-level category scheme, which is fine.

Interaction Design Specification Sites

There¹s been a fair amount of discussion here about documentation formats
and software used to produce wireframes, prototypes, and so on. But how do
people manage an entire specification? I have been using a hand-coded
intranet site, controlled via subversion; but my team is growing and I¹m
considering other ways to manage the information. Web access and formats
(not, for instance, Word documents) and some sort of version control are my
main requirements, along with relative ease of editing. What do people use?
Blogs, wikis?

Chris
