right hand vertical menus

do people have any opinions on these?

i know left hand is normal, and i understand its todo with how users scan a
page... but can a right hand menu work?

anyone have any fews on the pros and cons?

List problems

There are 3, for me.

1) 'Reply' doesn't go to the list. Someone said what the problem is (I
don't recall), but someone else (I don't recall) offered a solution.

2) Invites to linkedin go to the list. It's easy to filter out,
assuming you have minimally decent list software.

3) I switch between using my home email reader, and the web page (at
work). They don't seem to be in sync.

It's ironic that this list is (for me) the hardest to use.

Even if that's all that The Facebook is at the end of the day, why is
that a such bad thing?
