Ethnological researches and automated remote user testing is it enough ?

Hello everybody,

I followed your discussion for a while but I have never entered in the
arena! (maybe because I'm not sure enough of my English writing...)

I heard some people in the Web conception talking about the end of the
traditional user testing. They prefer to use automated remote user testing
that give them a quantitative report of users' clicks and navigations for
the tasks that they gave to the users.
This technique come from the idea that we don't have to listen users'
comments but to see users' behaviors.

Looking for a design pattern - actions on items represented in rows of a data grid

I have what I think is a common problem but I don't like any of the
design patterns I've seen and I'm hoping someone can suggest a better

a real-world entity. I want to let people do one of several things
with these entities.

Let's take the example of books. Say I'm representing books in a

Any UX Teams doing Agile process in New York City area? (especially those in product-based companies)

Our company is moving over to an Agile development process and I'm wondering
if there are any IXDAers in product-based companies in or around New York
City that does Agile development that I may arrange to visit with.
I've been doing a lot of reading about Agile and UX, but am really feeling
the need to talk to someone face to face, see some examples of UX
deliverables that are generated in an Agile process, and maybe sit in on a
scrum or something to that effect.
Thank you,

Google SearchWiki

Have you played with Google's new SearchWiki features?

I think Google has done some really nice interaction design on these
new features. They've added some very useful functionality that will
fundamentally change the way we use search.
