Web Page types / page-level patterns

Hi all,
At one point I found a great resource that broke down web sites into page types and goals. In a way it was a pattern library where instead of widget patterns it was the whole page as the pattern. Ex: "navigation page" "portal page" "reading page", etc. Does anyone on this list have a good URL they could throw my direction? I can't seem to find the resource anymore.

Naming functionality: confusing verbs and nouns

My company is developing software that, among other things, manages large amounts of member information. To better manage the interaction with such large datasets, we've incorporated the concept of 'Views' in the same way that Microsoft Outlook (and SQL Builder, for that matter) uses them. If you aren't familiar with Views in Outlook (I suspect that about 90% of users are not), a simple description would be a dynamic snapshot of your data, including any filters and layout options.

question about data loads

I have a question regarding your experience with the loading of a local
database (saved to a user's own drive or a shared drive) and current data
that is accessed from the server.
