Architecture and IxD

Greg Petroff has organized a lunch meeting for people interested in talking
about IxD & Architecture.
We have arranged for this to happen on Saturday of the conference during the
regular lunch time.

People interested in this, need to come pick up a box lunch in Reynold's Sq
and then make their way to the Kennedy Pharmacy.

Please join the discussion on the Crowdvine site if you'd like to attend:

Let me know if you are coming even if you've already said something.

Sketching before the Wireframes

Hi Folks,

I wanted to ask around on the process of creating wireframes for designing mobile applications. In creating these wireframes, should I work on paper before actually hopping into a drawing program to lay out these wireframes? I believe working on paper is faster and easier before laying out the wireframes for a project. However, the company I am working with, might be wondering if I am wasting my time. That I should be doing wireframes within the drawing program. What are your suggestions and thoughts on this issue?

Regarding Table

Hello Folks,

I am in an interesting situation with regards to table interaction. I
have some data that is presented in table format. The table has
Search, Sort on some columns, Number of results per page drop down
and Pagination. We do not have "Show All" rows as it takes a long
time for the page to load. We also have "Delete" functionality.

You should look for courses given by Ginny Redish: www.redish.net.

In the meantime, you should buy her *awesome* book

User Experience Design (UXD) course

Looks like a good introductory UX course.

The Mini-Masters in User Experience Design (UXD) teaches design
software interfaces for users seeking to efficiently and effortlessly
complete their tasks. The program is an immersive experience that
shows how and where the User Experience Design (UXD) fits in the
software process.

In need of Work Placement

I'm a student of Digital Media Design in the University of Limerick,
Ireland and I'm in need of a work internship for my Co-op placement.
My course is very interaction design based, as well as a focus on
prototyping, research and audio/visual production and I feel that I
could make a meaningful contribution to any company I might work

The placement starts in May and can be either paid or unpaid, either
of which I would more than willingly accept. I am willing to work
worldwide. Please get in touch with me if anyone is willing to help
me out here!
