Agile UCD Course

Apologies if you have already seen this, but I have tried posting it a couple of times to IxDA but with no apparent effect (both from email and the web site).

I am running a one-day course on Agile UCD in London on 10 May. It uses an 'emotionally intelligent' approach to make the best case for UCD in your team and how to adapt traditionally up-front UX activities to fit with an Agile approach.

IxDA subscription update

does anyone else find it ironic that an interaction design group sends an email list that a) is titled 'subscription update', and b) consists entirely of links that are formatted in such a way as to make them virtually undreadable?

a) my subscription has not been updated; the email is about activity in the forum to which i have subscribed.

report builder - data download - UX best practices

I'm looking for example websites that effectively allow a user to define a custom dataset for them to download or generate as a report.   We allow customers to download information about their interactions with our company, and in addition to standard reports and downloads we have a "custom report builder"  where users define fields to be downloaded, filters to be applied and subtotals and summary fields to be applied.  Then the data is downloaded as a CSV or excel document.

Best practices or information on loyalty programs

Hi,
I'm looking for any information regarding best practices for the flow of entering a loyalty/reward program section from a primary site.  In this case, the rewards program is a by-product of the main site, as opposed to being one of the driving forces there.  We may also end up having constraints depending on the vendor; ie, needing the rewards program to live in a separately-hosted window.

We'll be augmenting with some user research, as well, but it's always good to have some understood "standards" if they're out there.

Product adoption by users

Hello, I am looking for opinions and data on measuring, stimulating, and tracking user adoption.

I have this project, where we want to better measure and track the adoption of a product by its users. We do surveys and talk to clients. We want to build an adoption report that can help us predict that a client is losing interest. Currently, when we understand that, it is kind of late.

"Quick Links" - good use of navigation or cop out?

Hi all,

We have in what I call our "utiity" header navigation ("About," "Sign-in," "Region," etc.) a link + drop-down called Quick Links. This is where we store links to areas of the site that don't get any space on the homepage or in our global navigation, yet are important to us. Personally, I think it's a cop-out, reflecting the poor quality of our information hierarchy + content strategy (that doesn't exist).

Venue queueing experiences

After summer I'm starting my diploma thesis on queueing in entertainment venues, and I'm currently doing some preparatory research.
By entertainment venues I mean places such as amusement parks, festivals, conferences, concerts, casinos, fairs and exhibitions.
