UI Prototypes: Getting Great Ideas into the Real World

UI prototypes come in all shapes and sizes, from sketches and whiteboard drawings, to low fidelity wireframes, to high fidelity comps, and interactive click-models. But what’s the best practice for using them? With who? And when? In this Month’s meeting, UX designers from Tallwave and Ethology will kick off this topic, then we’ll segue into a pub-crawl style format (sorry, no alcohol) where we’ll break into groups and meet with a variety of Valley UX leads who will share their unique experiences of guiding a design from concept to release. Come join us!

Wednesday, March 18, 2015, 6:00pm – 8:00pm

Mediware

585 North Juniper Drive, Suite 100, Chandler, AZ 85226

Special directions: Turn onto W. Galveston St. off of N. McKlintock, then take a right on Juniper Dr. and look for the Mediware building at the end of the court

Just wanted to introduce myself :D

I wanted to say hi to everyone in the group. I am here in Phoenix have been an Art Director for 6+ years, a developer, and a designer among many other hats. Been working in the field as a graphic and web designer since 1998. I am currently getting my masters in web design and new media, focusing my studies on UX/UI design I am hoping I can help out with this group, or at the very least attend the meetings and be a positive and creative influence.

May's Event - Redesign Phoenix

Thanks to all that attended our May event! We had a great discussion and ideation on Phoenix that evolved into some potential side projects for members of IxDA an the community to work on. I've added some photos of the event to a new Flickr group I created. The link is on our local grou page as well as at http://www.flickr.com/groups/ixdaphoenix.

To keep the momentum going on this project, we may have a one off meeting the end of this month before our next regularly scheduled meeting in July. Please let me know if you are interested in attending.

IxDA Phoenix Update

I wanted to take a moment to thank all our members for bearing with us through the transition to our new home on the web. When I began IxDA Phoenix a year ago, I knew that our previous home would only be temporary, due to exciting changes coming within the organization as a whole. They have finally started coming to life with the redesign of the IxDA global site.
