phd programs in the portland area...any advice?

Hello group my name is Justin, and i'll be moving to Portland soon to work as an adjunct professor of Digital Media at WSU-Vancouver.

I'm going to be pursuing a PhD starting next year and I'm having a bit of trouble choosing schools. I am considering schools in Oregon and Washington primarily, but would prefer to study in Portland. My background is all over media with some research...print, tv, online journalism/education/database mgmt and the like. I recently completed my MS in Information and Communication Science.

Are There Meetings?

I seem to be out of the loop.  Has there been a meeting since the Interaction10 Redux?

Thanks,

Keith

Design for the other 90% exhibit at Mercy Corps Action Center

Portland IXDA, if you've not had a chance to go see the Design for the other 90% exhibit, please do so! the exhibit showcases innovative and cost effective design solutions to help address the big causes of poverty. This exhibit was at the Smithsonian, and is here in Portland till April 23, 2010. For those IXDA members that were in Savannah at Interaction 10, this exhibit speaks to that call to use design to improve the world.

Resources for UI/UX solutions!

Hi Gang,

Just wanted to say thanks so much for the last Jam Session!  I had a blast.  It was great to get to know all of you and take it easy for an evening.  I haven't had that much fun ... well for awhile.  I was thinking it would be nice to have a place to go for resources on the web when you are out there solving a UI/UX problem.

Since I'm a Web developer I tend to focus on web based Solutions.  Here are a few of my favorite UI/UX resources for solving common Web Problems.
