Hi IxDA members, friends, and discussion participants!
We're currently putting the final touches on an update to IxDA.org that is in some ways subtle, but has a few larger changes included. As we've all noticed over the last few years, some things about our current web platform work well and other haven't worked that well. The goal with the next release of IxDA.org is to fix some of these issues, make a few changes to functionality, and get us onto a new hosting and maintenance platform that will make all future updates much easier.
I want to take this opportunity to point people to our two new Silver sponsors for Interaction12 | Dublin.
First, I am really excited that SapientNitro have upgraded their sponsorship from Recruiter to Silver. There will be more annoncements soon about how they plan to add to the conference experience for attendees. Their upgrade significantly increases their contribution to the conference and demonstrates their commitment to the IxDA community. Thank you!
Como estadística quisiera saber en que ciudades estan ubicados, recientemente Jesús Hernández y yo liberamos un blog para ir viendo artículso y eventos de IxDA en México, si alguien quiere publicar algo por favor solo avíseme.
While we're working on a moderation solution for the spam on the list, the problem seems to be getting worse.
As a temporary solution we have disabled discussion thread creation for new users.
As of now all new users who have not been approved by a moderator cannot start new discussion threads. New users can still comment/respond to existing threads, and those comments will go into the moderation queue until that user has been approved.
As I'm sure you've all noticed, there has been a recent outbreak of spam in the discussions. We're working on implementing an updated moderation system that will let us catch that.. in the meantime these users are being blocked as fast as possible and their messages deleted.
I'll post another update when the new moderation system is in place. Until then, we apologize for the annoyance and thank you all for your patience.
