UX SketchClub - 27th March

Hi all,

IxDADublin is having a SketchClub evening on Tues 27th March from 6:30pm hosted at iQ Content's offices on Clarendon St.

Do you wish you got more time to just sketch?  Wish you had more time to practice? Want to find new ways to get your ideas and message across? Want to overcome your fear of sketching in public?

We'll be running through a number of exercises to practice, share and collaborate on communicating ideas.  The event is free, very informal and open to everyone, we'd be delighted to have new members along.

opportunities for a Software Engineer

Hi everyone!

I'm a student who is probably going for a Software Engineering BSc degree in the UK. All the universities that I have interest in, have some kind of focus on design and the creative parts.

But I'm wondering, because I'm sure I going to end up in the IxD/HCI field.

Prototyping Tools 2012 - Axure RP 6.0 or iRise Studio

Hi all,

My first post on IXDA.

I realise that this point is raised periodically but wanted to get a quick verdict on the most popular prototyping and wireframe creation tools. 

Criteria is that we are designing enterprise, transactional applications and platforms - with complex interactions and logic and our designers are using mixture of Mac and Pc as their workstations - so ideally I want something multi platform compatible.

Smart Phones used as Computers

Hi all,

I am delighted to have joined this association and hope I can learn from everyone’s experiences and expertise and hopefully one day be able to contribute myself :)

I am currently studying for an MA at the Nottingham Trent University and investigating the use of mobile phones as computers. My research is at an early stage at the moment.

Dear IxDA Barcelona,

I want to point your attention to our new conference on Mobile Experience Design & Usability ... called MobX (http://mobxcon.org).

Yeah, I know - Barcelona-Berlin is not exactly around the corner :) But hey: it's still Europe, right? We have invited super interesting speakers from Uganda, Australia, USA ... and they all come to join us in Berlin on Nov 18, 2011 (workshops on Nov 17) for an awesome one day high speed conference.
