On behalf of the new Interaction Design Majors at the University of Washington, I would like to say hello and tell you all how excited we are to be an up-and-coming part of the design community here in Seattle.
We would love to form a UW chapter of the IxDA and are looking for more information with regards to the best way to move forward. Should we fill out a Local Group Application? Is there some way for us to do it under the umbrella of the Seattle IxDA?
Thanks so much and looking forward to getting to know you all over these next few years,
So, we have been thinking about an impending office move and the inevitable relocation of the team of Information Architects to a new building. We want to take the opportunity to create an ideal environment for generating exceptional user experiences from strategy through documentation to prototype.
Looking for recommendations on training/certification for Interaction Design. There doesnt seem to be much out there. Has anyone taken Macadamian's "Certified User Interaction (CUID) Designer" , or have any other suggestions?
I'm currently based in the Philippines / Hong Kong and am heading back to London (I'm British) in a few weeks when I've wrapped up work here. I should be here Monday 3rd June and I'd like to attend the next IxDA meeting in London to meet you guys and network.
My questions are about London: What's the work situation like there? And who are the best people to contact?
If you are an experience design professional passionate about Search,
you must attend the Enterprise Search Summit in NYC May 11-12. I have
spoken on designing social search in the enterprise as well as designing
search experiences a few times at this conference – and it really is
the best conference around this problem space. Our good friend Peter Morville will be one of the keynote speakers talking about Search & Discovery Design Patterns. Again - this is pretty cool.
