I am considering some UX training and am interested in either the CUA training offered by HFI or the UXD "Mini-Masters" program at Rutgers. Any thoughts on either of these programs? Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time or money to put into this training but am looking for a good overview program and something that I can put on my resume.
Thanks in advance for your input; here are links to both programs:
I'm conducting a survey on how people use UI patterns. Specifically, I'm
curious about whether people use the patterns in "Designing Interfaces" in
the ways that I thought they'd be used. Are they used as design advice?
Brainstorming tools? A lingua franca? Design instruction?
Where can I find training that can train an experienced software architect/product manager person into an interaction designer. I am looking for something that can give them a thorough background on the fundamentals of user centered design, usability testing, more awareness of usability issues, etc..I am looking for a short training course that can serve as an intro.
