Great news: IxDA LA is back in the saddle and ready for its first event in
over 2 years!
*Methodology Madness!* A good methodology can help you organize your
thoughts and, ideally, help you design better products. However, with so
many methodology flavors out there, it can be a bit confusing. Goal-directed
design? Contextual design? Scenario-based design? It's madness! What are
the *real* differences between them anyway? More importantly, how
effectively can you use them where *you *work?
We'd like to invite you to the first official IxDA Toronto event!
Join interaction designers and other user experience specialists at a
casual get-together. We'll be getting to know each other, chatting about
some recent mailing list topics (portfolios, education and interesting
interaction innovations), and gathering ideas for future meeting topics.
LinuxCaffe has generously offered to host the event. They'll have a wide
variety of very tasty beverages and goodies available for sustenance!

Okay, okay, sorry for the barrage of emails, but... we just got word that
David Malouf will be in Boston tonight and joining us for our social at the
Asgard! He'll be sharing a few of his own stories about the conference and
of IxDA in general.

anniversary? I'll stop being a sap.) If you haven't been able to attend,
you should... Every month a different topic is presented, and we open up the
conversation for all to participate. The success of these events is easily
attributed not only to the gracious hosts who open their doors each month to
host and lead, but also to all of you for bringing your perspective and
