Jist of talk -- Over the last few years the various flavors of agile
have taken a greater foothold as the development process de jour and
this isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Ever had a moment when you’re presenting your detailed design work and you
get an unenthusiastic "Is that it?" from your audience?
This can sometimes happen when a project has been in design development
without conceptual feedback or consensus-building. We often move forward
rapidly with our detailed design work due to time pressure. Sure, we
incorporate our assumptions about the users, their needs, the technology,
and the business.
We're sending out double-duty email here - August's event, and a
(delayed) recap of our last event on Rapid Prototyping.
AUGUST Happy Hour---
Please join us on Wednesday, August 12th for our next Chicago IxDA gathering!
Chris Bernard of Microsoft will be hosting the happy hour at the Aon
Center. There will also be a demo available for Microsoft Sketchflow,
the interaction design tool that's part of the Expression Blend suite
(see our recap below for more information - this tool garnered a lot
of interest at our July meeting).
