NYC IxDA Event: Alex Wright, NY Times, Sept. 27th

NYC IxDers,

It's time for another NYC IxDA event, hot on the heels of event
announcements in Philly, Waterloo, San Francisco, and Boston. This month in
New York, Alex Wright, an Information Architect at the New York Times, will
talk about the technological limitations we face on the web, and about the
Interaction Design lessons that we can learn from the precursors to the web
to help get around them.

NYC IxDA Event: Design Style and IxD, Thursday, July 26th

Hi Everyone,

This month's NYC IxDA event will feature Chris Fahey, who will talk about
how style whether we like it or not, is a core aspect of our work. If you'd
like to attend, please send your RSVP to nyc-rsvp at ixda.org.

Description:
**Interaction Design Style**

IAs and UX designers are often exceedingly careful to draw a sharp
distinction between style and substance.

IxDA IDEA FARM | NYC & Beyond | Call for Submissions

IxDA IDEA FARM | NYC & Beyond | Call for Submissions

You know who you are: you're passionately cool about design, user
experience, technology, and networking in one of the greatest
communities around.

Whatever your pathway into the field, whatever your title, as an
interaction designer you find you simply HAVE to take a stand -- with
your clients, your project teams, your colleagues -- for the best
possible experience design, no holds barred!

You read the discussion threads and quibble about what the self-made
gurus are saying.
