Filtering mechanisms?

I was wondering if people had favorite RIA filtering examples long lists.

In particular, I want some ideas for filtering large lists based on
several attributes where the attributes have different characteristis.

For instance, a filter might include date parameters (which use a
calendar widget), states (in a drop down or some other selection
mechanism), and a status (which could have 5 states).

Ideas?

Thanks,
Karin

Hello all

I am looking for Interesting, fun, rich, interactive (anything really)

requires featured space (ads to inspirational content) in order to break the
user's normal purchasing habits (in an attempt to increase average order
value)

Any examples of good online advertising?

(No static banners ads please)

Many thanks

Examples of RIA interaction design patterns

Hi everyone,

My company focuses on RIA projects, and our design team is interested in
collecting lots of examples of interaction design patterns that leverage
the capabilities of a truly rich application. Of course, we've already
found a lot of great stuff on the web, but I wanted to reach out to this
list to see if you guys could contribute some of your favorites.

Any suggestions will be very much appreciated.

Examples of annual reports online

I'm looking for examples of annual reports online that are good. That,
maybe, even start to make use of the online environment and what it can
do. Or at least that go beyond a PDF of the printed version!

Bonus points if they look nice.

More bonus points if they are done with a web standards markup focus.

I know, I know, not asking for much :)

Amy happy to collate and post back to the list.

Thanks.

examples of choosing a set of fields

We're designing a form that offers the user two sets of fields. The user
can fill out one or the other.

The ultimate in flexibility would be to keep all the fields enabled until
the user completes one set and submits the form.

Examples of product displays

I amLooking for examples of great product displays, such as Scene 7. However
I want examples where the user can zoom in on specific features of a
product, change colour and rotate product in 3d space to see both front and
rear views. Examples of this used in fashion sites would be preferable.

Thanks for the help

first example of tagging...?

a colleague asked me today - what was the first example of tagging?

I came back with the (I think too) obvious examples - Technorati,
De.licio.us, Flickr....

what would you say?

sites with filtering

Hi,

Does anyone know of some good examples of sites that offer filtered
navigation? For example, I'm thinking of Left-hand navigation menus with
fly-outs that filter?

Thanks!!

Top Ten IxD examples?

All;

There is always much talk and discussion on the list about how best to accomplish a given task or organize a page. Oftentimes the talk turns to open laments about a particularly bad piece of design. However, what about the really good stuff that people have done?

What do you feel was a really exceptional piece of work? It could be your own work (from a particularly challanging job) or something you saw and really liked.
