My cleint wants me to perform a mulitple channel usability test, where we might have someone print a boarding pass on the web, go to a kiosk to print a luggage tag, and use their mobile device to pick their seat. I think it is best to do this kind of scenario type testing, where I can view the person.
Has anyone ever done a test like this before? What advice do you have for me?
Hey everyone, I'm one of the organizers for ReMIX South (last year ReMiX Atlanta), and I'd like to invite everyone to join us for ReMIX South. We've got a full track on UX, along with Web, Mobile, Tablet and Kinect tracks. Kicking off things is Albert Shum, Director of the Windows Phone Design team, giving the keynote followed by great talks from the likes of Rick Baeeaza, August De Los Reyes, Jen Downs, James Chittenden, Zachary Pousman, Luke Hamilton, Steve Dawson and many more.
I'm working with a team where we want to be able to show improvement, decreased time on task, after we re-design the UI. I want to track time on task for a web based application. Has anyone captured time on task, and possibly click and scroll data from a particular web app? How do you pull the data for that app out of all of the other web related work that person may be doing?
I am a junior interface designer living here in Dallas Texas. I just recently lost my job in telemarketing for social media, in which I really didn't like, I tried reasoning with my company about interaction design but they wouldn't hear me out. I would like to start an organization that mirrors the values of ixDA's principles, yet targets the younger demographic. I would like to educate high school students about interaction design creating youth clubs and fostering an interest early. I'm hoping to get collegiate students interested as well to gain more colleagues in the industry.
I am doing an impossible research. Currently I am trying to find out how all the different telecom self-service portals work. As it's almost impossible for me to be a customer for all mobile carrier (around the world), I am asking the community to help.
This thread can act as a resrouce gathering for pattern study in telecom self-service. (if we manage to gather enough screenshots) I think this would be benefitial to everyone as this is not just a portal, not just a website, but more of a service design on the web.
There is this project I'm working on that is for pet owners, breeders
and vets. They have identified 15 consumer types between the three
main segments I've mentioned. The client is requesting we create
personas for all 15. In my experience I've rarely have had to create
more than 4 on any given project. For this project I believe I can get
away with 3.
Does anyone have any thoughts as too what is too many or too few
personas? Have you come across a similar client request? And how did
you deal with it?
