Help Me With My Experience Design Diagram?

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for some feedback on a model I'm building to explain the complexity of experience design. My theory is that in the communication business, we're all experience designers and that we come at that from different disciplines. To build the best experiences, we have to have time and space for collaboration. Nothing groundbreaking, but I'd like to bring some different teams together around a common goal.

I've got some feedback from people outside the field, but I'd really like to know what you think. The diagram and comments I've recieved so far are here:

Magic Wish #2 for IxDA

Local groups are great. There are a lot of people who are working hard
to bring interaction designers and other interested folks together
locally on a regular basis.

Wouldn't it be great if local groups had a dedicated space that
brought events, discussions, and jobs into a local-centric space?
Wouldn't it be great if ixda.org could expand the ability of local
groups to communicate & collaborate?

Your wish is about to be granted:

UX Field trips

Hi everyone,
I'm looking to take our UX team on a few "field trips" this year
in Northeast Ohio to visit other organization's UX teams and share
methods, deliverables and anything else related to UX in a half day
session.

Work in groups or as individuals in your IxD work

I know that everything we do is collaborative in that we have to work with
biz & tech and often other roles of design like visual, copy, research, etc.

But my question is how often do you find yourself collaborating on group
work in your specific role as an IxD or UX designers?

I ask this question b/c when I look back on my work career there were very
few moments when I did work in a group.

*"Yes, My Iguana Loves to Cha-Cha: Improv, Creativity and Collaboration"*

Improv is not "stand-up comedy." It's a series of games with rules that
offer huge degrees of freedom within a set of constraints. In these games we
bring out a lot of basic, quickly understood and communicated rules of
culture that are implicit, not explicit.

UX Team Collaboration

I've suddenly found my team grow from one to three and it's clear
that a centralized file system is needed, especially as the team
grows.

I'd love to hear how other teams are working, managing their
documentation for both the UX/IxD/VD phases for projects.

My aim is to have a central file repository that manages versions and
is easily accessed on/off location.

I appreciate any insights into this.

Any interest in a Collaboration & Distributed Design Team topic for Interaction10?

My associate and I are planning to submit a proposal on ‘Collaboration
& Distributed Design Teams’ for the Interaction10 conference in
Savannah. We think we have enough material for a Presentation-style
of session, but we wonder if there is sufficient interest in a Group
Discussion-style session instead.

Do you work in a geographically dispersed design organization? Is
part of your team composed of external contractors? Are you
separated by more than just time zones and telephones? How do
language, culture, and technology affect our ability to collaborate?

Video Collaboration

Hi,

I am on a project that involves cross-location collaboration, and
I'm looking for a video tool to allow me to sketch on *paper* in
real time, and broadcast what I'm doing to my own computer screen.

I have a webcam which I have jimmy-rigged to shoot downward to my
desk. We use screen-sharing programs (WebEx, etc), so I have that
covered.

Interactive design business prospects?

Hi all!

I am new to this conference, so I can write something, that you are
not interested. In that case simply say me, that it is not a proper
theme for this conference.

So, going for a theme of this discussion. I am from Ukraine and own
my graphics design company, called "JAR Studio"
(www.design.jarstudio.com.ua, but sorry - only in russian), we are
specialized on Flash interactive graphics and informational design.

And i want to say you, that here, in Ukraine, Interactive Design
can't be viewed as separate business. This is connected with current
economic and politic situation.
