Hi, I'm looking for some information on android usability. Specifically, I'm curious about how successful the basic navigation of android devices are using the back, option, home and search buttons. Some device manufacturers choose to modify the standard android navigation framework for their products and remove standard android buttons. I'm not sure if device manufacturers are doing this because they believe standard android is inadequate and they need to fix it or they are just looking for a way to differentiate.

Let me introduce myself I'm a Principal UX Design Expert at Vodafone Group based in London UK and I am interested about cool design agencies based in london that might work with us. What I'm looking for is an agile design agency that could deliver fast and great UX innovative concepts. Equally if your a talented designer/developer drop me a line or two about what you do. If you can send me something interesting or cool images you have delivered would be even better. Would be great to see stuff before we talk.
I'm a young graphic designer who recently made a theme for hacked Motorola Droids. While doing this I realized I didn't have nearly the creative freedom that I wanted, but also that the stock Android OS is really...really ugly and rough around the edges.
I'm curious if anyone would be interested in starting a team to make an overlay (entire new UI with set of system apps) for Android handsets and tablets. I don't code, but I know Android apps are coded in Java.
We at Desolve are planning to design a new Android home screen experience.
We believe that the future of home screens will no more be 'idle' but dynamic and fluid like the Vodafone 360, Microsoft Kin. Our vision for the interface we would like to design is in the direction of the Microsoft Kin (with our own twist to it) which will make the home screen come alive.
