Signet is a concept that brings personal shipping into the digital age, by giving everyday users the ability to send a package or letter to a person, not a place. Using a small, hand-held laser engraver, the user marks the parcel with a secure, machine-readable pattern that uniquely identifies it, then leaves it outside for pickup. Through the app or website, they can choose a recipient and pick a delivery rate at their convenience; both sender and recipient can expedite, hold or re-direct the parcel en route — or even split costs. It’s shipping made more convenient, satisfying and personal.
