About IxDA

We believe that the human condition is increasingly challenged by poor experiences. IxDA is committed to improving the human condition by advancing the discipline of Interaction Design. To do this, we foster a community of people that choose to come together to support this intention. Diversity, inclusion, and parity are core values. IxDA relies on individual initiative, contribution, sharing, and self-organization as the primary means for us to achieve our goals.

As a volunteer-led and supported organization with no membership fees, the Interaction Design Association relies on leadership emerging directly from the community. We seek highly motivated and passionate individuals, ready to shape and guide the organization in furthering IxDA’s goals and mission.

Regional Coordinators help further the mission, providing liaison between the IxDA Board, a region’s Local Groups, and the extended IxDA community, composed of 130,000+ people with 200+ Local Groups in 80+ countries.

Open seats

We have three openings: one for Latin America, one for Africa | Middle East, and one for North America. If selected, you’ll serve a three-year term, that may be renewed once.

Roles & responsibilities

A Regional Coordinator (RC) has both strategic and tactical responsibilities. It’s a role that serves as a mentor for Local Leaders and connects different actors within the region and across the IxDA community. As an RC you identify needs and opportunities in your region and help shape the strategy to address them.
