Chair — 2019 IxDA Student Design Charette

As a volunteer-led and supported organization with no paid membership and largely virtual operations, IxDA relies on leadership emerging directly from our global community. We’re seeking a highly motivated, passionate individual to take on the challenge of the next Student Design Charette (SDC). Submissions will be accepted until Friday, 30 March 2018.

About the SDC

The Student Design Charette (SDC) is IxDA’s opportunity to showcase young designers from around the globe as they address culture’s unmet needs and untapped opportunities. Since 2010, almost 60 students from 13 countries have been selected to participate in the program, from an international pool of submissions.

Each year, IxDA partners with industry or a non-profit agency to set a brief addressing how interaction design can improve the human condition. Past partners include:

  • 2018: Microsoft Design — Quality Education
  • 2017: Intel — Everyday Magic
  • 2016: SapientNitro — The Future We Deserve
  • 2015: Intel — Envisioning the Wearable City
