From 0 to 23%: Design as a differentiator
Municipal healthcare in Norway is under serious pressure. People are living longer, the workforce is stretched thin, and the digital tools professionals rely on are often outdated, fragmented, and built for a reality that no longer exists.

Together with more than 130 amazing colleagues, including 25 designers, Belma and Fonda have helped build a new platform for municipal healthcare called Aidn.

In just the past year, Aidn has gone from zero to 23% of the market, while winning the IxDA prize (2024) and DOGA (2026).

In this session, you’ll hear two perspectives on design as a differentiator: one from Belma and one from Fonda. Together, they’ll share:

  • What it’s actually like to build across the entire municipal healthcare landscape, from administration to clinical workflows
  • How Aidn reduces friction and improves the flow of information
  • How we help both healthcare professionals and citizens feel more in control
