For our event Nº 164, join us for an informal and participatory Design Salon at Ardoq! We’ll move away from the traditional speaker format to engage in a collective conversation about the changing landscape of our industry.
The theme for this discussion is Navigating Shifts. We’ll look back at significant turning points in design history, from the computer revolution of the 1960s to the rise of design systems, to better understand how design adapts when technology and culture shift beneath it.
This is a space for active participation. In the spirit of “Strong opinions, loosely held,” we invite you to share your perspective, challenge ideas, and explore the foundations of what we do.

About the speakers
Fredrik Matheson
Fredrik runs IxDA Oslo. He studied design at AHO i Oslo and at Aalto in Helsinki, and studied technology management at NUS in Singapore.
India Anderson
Product designer and researcher at Ardoq
India is a design lead specialising in research at Ardoq. She brings a strategic, empathetic lens to her work, grounded in a belief that design research can shape more intentional futures. She is a PhD candidate at The University of Queensland, exploring the intersection between history and design practice.
Alina Krogstad
PhD candidate
Computer science engineer writing her PhD on human-centered use of agentic AI. Hard core Don Norman-evangelist and UCD-disciple with a preference for simple but elegant, functional layouts. Certified labor lawyer and author of soon to be published higher education IT security textbook. Rides under the banner “If I can google it – I can do it!”
José Pereira
Lead Product Designer
José is a product design lead at Ardoq. With more than a decade in design, he’s moved through several different areas along the way, from packaging development to graphic production to product design — picking up a fresh lens from each one. This background shows in how he approaches product work: a sharp eye for layout, visual craft, and details.
