Mariana will review her career path in the light of understanding design as a political act. We are not only designing interfaces but the social impact that these interfaces can have in the lives of our communities. We, social designers, are aware of the impact of our solutions in the political sphere. Design is an important player in decision making that can move our societies towards social justice. The presentation will try to answer the questions: why design for social change and how designers could influence their careers to be part of this change?
